Good Case, stylus not fit for human use. Disgraceful. Excited 7 year old son spent some of his birthday money on this. The case is fine, but of course the clincher for him was the sonic screwdriver. This is so flimsy it is an absolute disgrace for an official piece of Dr Who merchansise. It would be shocking for a “pirate” rip-off (ours was bought from The Game Shop, so must be the real thing) but for official merchandise it is outrageous. The mechanism simply did not work, due to nothing other than shoddy manufacturing in materials that are unfit for purpose. Conclusion – the stylus is the product of an evil genius master race from a different galaxy….Avoid buying, or throw away the stylus to avoid disappointment.
Nice case – not sure about the stylus I wasn’t sure about this package but my son is a DW nut so had to buy it. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that the case was not just a tacky thing with a sticker on it. It is actually a nice padded case and should do a good job of protecting the DS.The stylus I’m not quite sure about though. It certainly looks the part, but the “working” claws on it seem kind of flimsy and annoying and I wonder how long it would be before they snap off. I expected something like the mechanism for the old sonic screwdriver toy, like a push button or slide to open and close it, but couldn’t find one anywhere on the stylus. A biro style button/spring mechanism would have been good for this I think.Overall not a bad accessory for young DW fans…I picked the one with the TARDIS cover, but you can take your pick of the Doctor himself with Amy or Daleks.
