disappointing Be warned of the limitations. The product description says “Will do 2-3 average size repairs” – there are two problems with this statement. First, only one piece of backing fabric is provided, so only one repair can be done, unless you can provide your own additional backing fabric. Second, the backing fabric is very small – 70mm x 65 mm – or two and three-quarter inches by two and five eighth inches (measuring generously). The backing fabric needs to be larger than the hole or gap you are filling (so it can be glued in place), which greatly restricts the size of repair to about 2 inches max. As others have said the quantities of repair compound are minimal – little more than a thimble-full of each colour is provided. I guess this product does do what it claims, as other reviewers have stated, but you really should know before buying that the kit as provided is really only suitable for repairs under 2 inches (50mm) max. The hole I wanted to repair is about 8 inches long so I need a different solution – money wasted.
strong not pretty I had a cut in my leather settee about 4/5 inches long.Decided to try to do the repair myself. But what would I need?I am no do it yourselfer,so I needed something I could maybe do.I needed a cream colour, and in the box were a variety of paints, but not cream.you can however mix them until you get what you want.Using the supplied compound the repair was quite straightforward. The result is that you can see where the cut used to be,so invisible it aint. But after three weeks I am satisfied that the repair itself is good and strong.Would I buy this product again?I think I would. And as an added bonus, this little kit wont break the bank.
