Yet another reason the Paternoster Gang needs a TV spin-off Every time we see these three in action, it’s a constant reminder of how well a spin-off TV series would work. Like their appearances in the prequels for TV’s ‘The Snowmen’, this novel shows just how well the concept works. While relatively short (it can be read in one sitting of 2-3 hours), the story is structured somewhat like a TV episode, with the earlier chapters being told through the eyes of supporting characters. By doing this, Justin Richards has created a perfect introduction for the characters of Vastra, Jenny and Strax for those that haven’t even seen them in Doctor Who.Cannot recommend it highly enough, and hope it’s not the last time we see stories of the Paternoster Gang.
Doctor Who? Even though this is a doctor who book which doesn’t feature even a mention of the doctor, tardis or sonic screwdriver, it manages to pull together the excitement, fun andenergy the show does. A good read for all ages. Geronimo!
Strax rules ! Great short story that is a superb prelude to the Snowmen, loads of great comedic action for Strax a new hero in Dr Who history, read and enjoy
