Great story – awful sound quality Whilst the story gets 5 stars it looks as though the BBC have had a problem with their new MP3 CD range. There are constant clicks and pops that are not present on the regular CD version. Also, the lack of proper mp3 tags means that you have to manually order the 200 odd tracks if you want to play them on a computer! Finally the tracks have been split up such that you get an irritating pause every few minutes.
Agree with the other review! DISMAL SOUND QUALITY This isn’t a review of the story (which is excellent), it’s a review of the produce; It’s rubbish.I can’t believe the BBC have made such a bodge of this (and all the other MP3 CDs they’ve released). They’re appaling. The sound is low quality and the it’s divided into 100s of sections. This review could apply to ANY of the BBC MP3 Doctor Who CDs.
Production error Please note that there is a production error with the MP3 version “Dalek’s Masterplan”, which results in an awful and very distracting ticking noise occuring every two seconds throughout the whole thing.I bought one and found this out at my peril! Had to shell out again on the proper CD version, which is fine. Why this wasn’t recalled I’ll never know… Not amused. So, I would advise that you do not buy the MP3 version of this story.
