Doctor Who Tardis Hologram Chamber I recently came across the Mirage 3D hologram generator. It’s great fun so I thought I’d look into buying one. They are however over £30 so I searched around to try to find something similar but cheaper. I found this item. Unfortunately, I think it’s a classic case of getting what you pay for. This item is smaller and lacks the reflective power to create a convincing holographic image. The image was very blurred and it’s viewing angle was very restricted. I immediately parcelled it back up and took it to the post office. Am now awaiting a refund. If you want a hologram creator, consider buying the real thing – it works, this doesn’t.
What you see is what you get I am a great Doctor Who fan but was not impressed with the overall quality of this item.I found it difficult sometimes to actually see the hologram and have to keep moving it around. Was not impressed with the quality of the item.
Two concave mirrors project an optical illusion of a TARDIS(or Adipose)The toy is well constructed, in black plastic, with an embossed DW symbol. There are no moving parts and no batteries are required, just a strong overhead light source. So as long as no-one stands on it, or there isn’t an alien attack; it should last for years.I found the interchangeable TARDIS and Adipose, which are fixed through the base can be pushed out using a ball point pen, which avoids any risk of damaging the mirrors. This toy should prove popular with Dr Who fans and lovers of illusion.
